Sealy Posturepedic Exquisite Rosewood is a showroom mattress rather than a boxed one: made in Australia, sold through Harvey Norman, and offered in four firmness levels at the same price so you choose the feel in store. Four walls of UniCased XT reinforce the perimeter, and Sealy publishes that specification where many makers say nothing about edge support at all. The price is the argument against it: a queen is $3,699, roughly three times Ecosa and six times Newentor. And because you buy from a retailer rather than the brand, there is no sleep trial to fall back on if the feel you picked in store turns out to be wrong at home.
Best for buyers who want to test a mattress in a showroom before committing, and for anyone who sits on the edge of the bed or shares it and needs a firm perimeter.

The Exquisite Rosewood is a traditional innerspring in a category that has largely moved to foam and hybrids. A three-stage RestSUPPORT coil system carries the load, and four walls of UniCased XT wrap the coils so the surface stays supported right out to the perimeter — an edge-support specification, which many makers do not publish at all. Above the coils sit gel-visco comfort layers through the centre third, a wool-blend quilt and a SmarTex cover.
It is made in Australia, and because Harvey Norman stocks it in store you can lie on it before you buy. Four feels are offered — firm, medium, plush and ultra plush — all at the same price. It stands 33 cm tall in every size, a deep profile that needs deep-pocket fitted sheets.
The price and the channel are the arguments against it. A queen is $3,699, roughly three times Ecosa and six times Newentor. Sealy does not sell direct, so the Rosewood is bought through Harvey Norman and cannot be price-compared elsewhere. And there is no sleep trial of any kind — the showroom is the only test you get.
A spring core moves more air than a solid foam block, and the SmarTex cover and wool-blend quilt both pull moisture off the surface. The gel-visco comfort layers still hold some heat, so it runs cooler than the foam beds here without being cold.
Gel SenseComfort and a gel-visco centre third are aimed at the lower back, and the 33 cm build gives the comfort layers room to work. Pick the wrong feel of the four, though, and there is no trial to correct it.
A spring core pushes back and recovers quickly, so changing position takes less effort than on either foam bed here. The memory foam comfort layer slows it a little.
Sealy does not say whether the RestSUPPORT coils are pocketed. Connected coils pass partner movement across the bed far more than an all-foam core does, so this is scored conservatively until the specification is confirmed.

First 2 weeks is an adjustment then you notice. Relaxing deep sleep Notice less body aches Feel great energy to face the day. Note need to rotate mattress every 2 weeks as suggested for first 3 mths. I do see an imprint if not done. Happy sleeper.

The bed provides a medium to firm support but still adjusting to it. At the point of time (we have only had it a month), it has made no significant difference to my lower degenerative back problem. Overall we are happy with the new bed.

We bought our mattress about few years ago. It has stood up fairly well. I have to sit on the edge of bed for a short time every time I get up (which at 71 is quite frequently) to allow my blood pressure to equalise. It is starting to get dented, even though we rotate the bed every month.
